![]() All the other ID releases have had problems at launch, but somehow people forget that.įrom the little I played of it Daikatana had more than graphics issues. If I played skyrim wincing at every minor graphics flaw id be having constant seizures. But people just seemed to go into it with all the "theres this thing where you turn too quick and the textures don't looad wrong with it so it suckz!!!111" stuck in their heads and spent 99% of the time finding these minor issues and being "OMFG I turned round too fast and theres the thing that makes it teh suck!!! So it does suck!!! " not being able to just play the actual game due to other peoples opinions of minor crap. All the problems seem 99% asthetic.and it still has better textures than default skyrim.which was praised for it's graphics. It's not the best game ever, but it's no brink. A notorious magazine ad that trumpeted John Romero’s about to make you his bitch, combined with John Carmack telling magazines that Romero’s work ethic was gone, had turned Romero’s. For every 1000 people saying it's shitty, there seems to be 3 that have actually played the game. It spiralled out from a few graphics issues which were pretty easy to fix. In the modern era, any opinion becames instantly popular and "the one opinion" and people become very scared to speak out aginst it, and everyone else follows cultishly. Carmack had the modern monomind of the interwebs reviewing it. ![]()
